Turning Challenges Into Opportunities

Turning Challenges Into Opportunities

Maybe starting a journal when I’m not at my best emotionally isn’t the smartest move, but for me, it’s quite the opposite. I want to share the struggles too, not just the victories. To be honest, I’ve been feeling down lately, my energy is low, and I have to push myself to stay strong and positive. While I consider myself a strong woman, I’m no stranger to these moments of stress and exhaustion.

I’m passionate about mindfulness and enjoy practicing different techniques to cultivate qualities and manage stress. One of my favorite practices is a gratitude exercise. Every night, I reflect on at least ten things that made me happy during the day. It could be anything—a smile, a delicious meal—small but meaningful moments. They have to be positive, even if the day has been tough. I encourage you to try it. It’s fascinating to look back and connect with your day in a new way.

In recent months, I’ve faced significant changes in Vietnam, mainly due to the factory issues I mentioned before. This led me to make an important decision: to set up our own small factory. With a reduced team and a 120-square-meter space, this facility will allow us to produce small batches, test orders, and limited editions. It’s located on the same floor as another factory we work with, which will make quality control and team training much easier.

The space needs a lot of work—it’s currently a total mess—but we’ll clean it, paint everything white, install air conditioning, and create a welcoming, clean environment. We’re adding a terrace filled with plants so the team can enjoy meals and noon naps. I’m so excited because I finally have the right team to make this happen: Thao and Trang, two admirable women who share my values and goals.

It’s worth noting that this new factory won’t add any extra costs. The garments we produce will cover the expenses of this new setup. I mention this because every step and change must be carefully calculated to ensure the company maintains its necessary margins.

One more day... soon I’ll be back in my paradise, Ibiza.
